Show PANGUITCH Recent visitors at the Lula Dickenson home were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Stoker of Las Vegas. This past Sunday -and Monday, Mrs. Dickenson vis ited in Kanab with her daughter (Betty) and family, Mr. and Mrs. Merwin Brown. Mrs. Ardis Woodard and daughter have gone to Overton, Nevada to spend a week with her mother. Mr. and Mrs. Carvel Hen-rie have been visiting in Texas with her brother and family, Major and Mrs. Merlin E. Tebbs. When Bill Brunn was surprised by the state DSA award, another pleasant surprise for Kim was the presence in Salt Lake City at the award ceremony of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bruhn who were "kept under wraps" un til the actual presentation when they were brought on stage to greet Bill. Theda Peterson and son are homo from Boston where they spent 34 months with her husband Lester who has left on a six month tour with the Navy. Howard Kay Prince left on the 13th from Salt Lake for basic training at Fort Ord. Mr. and Mrs. Vee Worthen and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wilcock were Salt Lake visitors from Saturday to Monday. Mr. and Mrs T. R. Houston and Mrs Ruth Henrie visited in Cedar City, Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine E. Sevy spent Tuesday in Cedar City with the J. Nolan Stokes family. Mrs. Rula Houston and Mr and Mrs. Gale Houston of Cedar City were Monday visitors at the Clarence Cameron home Mrs. Susan Heaps of Escalante is visiting with the Champ Church family. Margaret Daly and Otto Norton are reported to be improving very nicely in the hospital. Sylvia Judd was taken to the Hospital Sunday night for medical care. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hughes are parents of a baby girl born on the 17th. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Tal bot made a weekend trip to Salt Lake where she received medical attention. They report that their daughter Ula and her husband Max King of Antimony have been chosen as the "young farmers" from Piute County to attend special one week school at Logan under sponsorship of the Utah Bankers Assn and the Extension Service. |
