Show Snow Measurement Shows Moisture Content Low Snow course measurements were made this month by Grant O. Williams. Ivan D. Willis, Allen F. Miller and Norman P. Hill. A summary of the results for March 1 are as follows: Duck Creek: snow depth 33.4 Inches; water content 9.5 inches; 10 year average 13.8 Inches water. Harris Flat; snow 21.9 Inches; water 5.9 Inches; 10 year , average 10.5 Inches water. Ixmg Valley: enow 10.7 Inches; water 4.4 Inches; 5 year av- erage 5.C Inches water. Pangultch Lake: snow 13-..S , Inohes; water 3.0 Inches; 3 year average 5.0 Inches water. Wldtsoe - Escalante Summit: snow 13.2 Inches; water 3.3 Inches; 4 year average 7.0 Inches water. This shows that the Wldtsoe-Escalante drainage appears to be only about 50 percent of previous averages for this time of year, while the Pangultch Lake and Duck Creek side are about 00 to 70 percent of average of previous measurements. |
