Show Antimony Mother Drowns In Otter Creek Reservoir bsmIbkJ Tragedy struck the small community ot Antimony last Thursday, Aug, C, when Mrs. Berdene savage, mother of five children, drowned In the Otter Creek Reservoir. She and her husband Claud had taken a group of girls down to the reservoir to swim. While she and the older girls Were swimming, her husband was taking the smaller girls for a ride In a boat along the banks, when he noticed his wife flouncing In the water. He called to her and when she didn't answer, he Jumped In the water to try to reach her but waa unable to get to her. Many attempt were made to lescue her but all were In vain, Unable to pull her out, they tied clothing and towels together and tied It about her waist, but a belt broke and ahe slipped away. Four hour later her body was recovered from tb reservoir at 8:10 P.M. Friend and relative mourn the death ot Berdene. She filled many positions In the community. She was president of the Primary for many years, 4-11 leader, teacher. MIA atake dance direct or, chorister and organist, and she filled many other positions. She Is survived by her husband , Claude and five children, Kemp, 17, Beverly, 1, Pamela, 11, Nanette, 9, and Candlce, 6; her mother Pollyanna Spencer, two sisters, Eva Haw and Thora Munson; four brother. Dudley, Court ,ney. Usher and Kemp. Funeral services were held Monday with LaMaun Riddle, 1st counaelor in the bishopric, conducting.
