Divon's visit In Psngultrh. I Congressman II. Aldoua Dixon fit-Utah) visited Garfield County last Friday, Nov. 4th. The Representative spoke to the Student Body of the Panguitch High School. He held a non-par-tUanclinlc at the South Ward Chapel with the leadership of the County. The purpose of the cllnlcjwas for him to learn and become better acquainted with the problems and needs facing this area. In leaving the High School, Congressman Dixon said "The participation from the students thrilled me so very much. The boys and girls hare an interest In their local, state and national government. They asked ' questions on American problems which indicates to me real leadership." Representative Dixon stated the meeting united the attitudes of thei upper basin states and those present resolved to pull together In support of the bill. Other questions asked and discussed by the Congressman concerned Koads, Drouth Conditions, Price of Cattle, and other problems arfctlng Garfield County. "It was a real pleasure to visit Garfield County and to meet with the fine people here. Their friendliness is so sincere." The Congressman was accompanied by his Assistant, Glen M. Robins, and Milt Sevy, his Field Man from Cedar City. |
