Show HEALTH conditions ARE encouraging one ot of the leading physicians of 0 salt lake city was in brigham city yesterday morning on professional business and while here went out with some of our local physicians and visit ed several cases of 0 sick sickness nesi to ascertain just how the situation was being handled here after in an investigation he stated 1 I could not offer any criticism ot of the way in which the cases are being taken care of 0 in tact fact I 1 think it Is commendable it the people continue to observe the regulations they are now working under it should not be long before the situation is entirely cleaned up dr R A pearse chairman ot of th board of 0 health and sanitary inspector john joha H burt both report that health conditions this morning are very encouraging and that the situation is clearing up very tory favorably the cool nights are contributing to the relief of those afflicted and no new cases are reported today dr budge of logan was also in this city yesterday to look over health conditions here it Is stated that five cases ot of paratyphoid have developed at providence and dr budge came to brigham to see it they compare with the cases here and to consult with local physicians concerning the matter reports have reached the state board ot of health that a disease diagnosed as typhoid fever has occurred at monticello and other localities in san juan county several cases are also reported at ogden there are epidemics of this malady it Is stated in arkansas oregon and in other states and there seems to tie be infected districts in many parts of the country those in charge ot of the city clinic wish to advise the people of the city that unless they take all three doses of vaccine they cannot be assiz assured ed of 1 immunity from typhoid those who have received their first dose are requested by the state nuri 6 miss ruth C hansen to return to the clinic tor for their second and third doses up until last evening the local clinic has inoculated 1558 persons and it is likely that private inoculations will also equal the number attended to at the clinic through inoculation over halt half of the population of the city Is immune from the malady |
