The people of this county are hard working, contentions con-tentions individuals; they are aware of the fact that thoy are located on a choice spot and they are doing all which lies within their power to make the best of their surroundings. Columns could bo written regarding re-garding tho possibility of this locality but that is not the solo purpose of this article. Wo have stated briefly what is being done and what might be done in Box Elder County. There are many good things but we must not loose sight of tho great point involved. With all that this county has and all that it might have there is still room for one thing more and that is improvement. Wo realize that improvement comes quito slowly but still our condition can bo largely bettered better-ed if wo make tho best of every opportunity which presents itself. it-self. JJ'ruit growing is tho main industry in-dustry of Box Elder county; let tho fruit growers look towards improvement. Tho farmers and Housekeepers Conference, conducted by tho! Extontion Department of tho Utah Agricultural College, which will bo held in Brignam City for ono week beginning near the end of .January offers great opportunities to farmers and housekeepers. Throughout tho entire state these conferences . have been held or are being hold at least ono in each county and thoy Jiave proved to be lingo successes, suc-cesses, being interesting as well as being highly instructive Trained lecturors h'avo charge of the work and only current topics are discussed. At theso conferences con-ferences many of the numerous problems confronting tho farmers farm-ers and their wives are cleared up. Here questions are asked and answered and hero valuable valu-able advice is given. The conforence will bo hold in Brigham City under the auspices aus-pices of tho Box Elder High School. The meetings will convene con-vene in the assembly room of tho beautiful High School building build-ing whore comfortable seats will bo in abundance. The gentlemen will be charged a feo of $1 (ono dollar) whilo the ladies will pay but fiftycoiits. These charges aro made for tho purpose of defraying tho ox-ponces ox-ponces of the lecturors and do- monstrators.
