Show Scrapers Keep Roads in Good Condition. Logan, July 155. Commissioner Commis-sioner M. J. Richards of Box Elder county, was in Logan yestorday on business connected connect-ed with the county roads. In speaking of tho methods of road building employed by the Box Elder commissioners, he laid great stress on tho efficiency effici-ency of the steel drags vhioh that county is using. He claimed claim-ed that by their uso the best, cheapest and most easily maintained main-tained road can be construcet-ed. construcet-ed. "We are dragging our roads." said he, "after evory rainstorm. Seventeen steel drags immediately imme-diately go over eighty-five miles of roads at tho cost of 75 cents to $1 a mile. Besides this dragging, drag-ging, we aro graveling our roads to the depth of eight inches with throo grades of gravel, insuring in-suring tho best of roads. This costs us only $300 a mile. I cannot can-not say too much of tho valuable valu-able motnods we employ in our road building." Herald- Republican. |
