Bolton, a professor In the University of Texas, who has been making extensive researches In the Mexican nrchlvCs. Nows of their discovery dis-covery has been convoyed to Gen. William Wil-liam J. Palmer of this city by Dr. Edgar J. Howott, director of tho Amor-lean Amor-lean Institute of Archaology. Tho whereabouts of theso papers had not been known slnco their seizure by tho Spanlnrds, and their discovery Is of Importanco, Inasmuch aa thoy aro expected to throw light on early American history. It Is hoped not only to show Gen, Plko's early explorations, but to settlo tho much-dlscusscd question whether Gon. Plko was Implicated In tho Hurr conspiracy. |
