In addition to tho Salt Lako shops and tho Uurnhnm shops In Denvor, whero 300 men struck, tho following cities aro affected: af-fected: Pueblo, Grand Junction, Sa-llda, Sa-llda, Alamosa, Lcadvillc, Mlnturn, Gunnison, Chnma, Illdgway, In Colorado, Colo-rado, nnd Ogdcn, Helper, Thlstlo, Dlngham, Tucker nnd Green River In Utah. In all about 2,500 men will bo Involved, and nil of the Gould roads will probably bo Involved as a result of tho Introduction of tho now shop rules of tho company. Urielly, tho now shop rules will result re-sult In tho abolition of tho nine-hour day, tho doing nwny with all ovortlmo for Sundays nnd holidays, a graduated scalo of wages, refusal to rccognlzo men ns union men or members of organizations, or-ganizations, tho payment of all employes em-ployes nccordlng to Individual merit, regardless of maximum or minimum scales, and tho right to chango tho shop rules at will. |
