Thrco week ago last Thursday night, February 20th , I landed In San Francis-co. Francis-co. After considerable trouble I found the headquarters of tho ciders. That siuio evening It was testimony meeting of the saints In San Francisco. I joined with them In their meeting. Friday evening eve-ning I had, for tho first time In my life, tho chance to know what a street meeting meet-ing Is. I accompanied two of the' elders on the street only to help them sing 1 did my share of that and after meeting distributed tracts. One of the ciders suggested sug-gested that they lenvc It to mo, wether we go homo or go some whero else nnd give mo a chance to speak. I told them that If one of of them would open the meeting, I'd be there with tho goods to do my sliBrc. So nway wo went to liold tlie second meeting at which I had the chanco to speak. Was I frightened? Well no, I guess not. On Saturday, the 22ud, I was assigned dan Jos as my field for the prescut. 1 came here just in time to nttend auothcr street meeting. I have done some trading, street preaching ami Indoor preaching. I would rather have one street meeting (especially If there is a large crowd) than two Indoor meetings. I am bccommlng accustomed to having a good Christian lady shut the door In my face and say "no" when 1 offer n tract. San Jose Is a very nlco place, nlmost the size of Salt Lako. There are some very nice peoplo here not many saints-several saints-several investigating nnd others are friends, llclng a muslclnu helps mo to make friends. On several dlQercnt occasions, oc-casions, In company with the elders, I have been invited to homes where we have been given tho use of pianos. I have taken lny violin with mo and spent a number of pleasant cvctilugs. The elders are thought much of hero, cspcu tally by tho saints. Conference will bo held about Muy 1st, and I may bo transferred trans-ferred to another part of thestato. I tun ' well and enjoying my labors.
