| Show BODY OF 0 C JACOBSEN FOUND F OU ND according to a telegram received last evening by J P jacobsen of this city from tonopah To nevada the body bode of his son 0 C jacobsen was found early in the week in the desert fifty eve miles out from tonopah To ne nevada vada and within about five miles from the place he waa lost the ot of october the telegram was as follows tonopah To nevada march 12 J P jacobsen brigham utah body answering description ot of 0 C jacobsen found yesterday about 35 55 miles from tonopah To and near where he be disappeared As further means in assisting in identification will say bay he has on arms and legs unusual amount of 0 hair we brought body here today and an inquest held this afternoon verdict of 0 coroner jury Is that body Is that of 0 0 C jacobsen and cause ot of death unknown there are no marks of 0 violence wire us full instructions regarding dispo disposition of body CAVANAUGH undertakers sheriff john H zundel left this morning tor for tonopah to take possession of 0 the body and will return it to the parents in this city it Is anticipated that sheriff zundel will be bach about friday it will be remembered that 0 01 jacobsen the jeweler in company with a mr nelson left bakersfield california tor for utah in his ford car october mr jacobsen had been very ill and was in a weakened condition in fact too sick to attempt such a trip when they were at the warm springs about fifty miles this side ot of tonopah To some trouble arose and mr jacobsen ejected mr nelson from his car according to the report and started back tor for tonopah alone he got off the main road and drove out about three miles into the desert where he had trouble with his car which he abandoned at the side of the road ile he then strayed around on the desert and was finally lost losi searching parties covered covered the ground time and again in hopes of finding the body but no trace of him could be found and the search was given up tor for the winter while the finding ot of the body of mr jacobsen came as a shock to nia his parents in this city their minds will be relieved ot of that terrible su suspense which has constantly been with them since their son was lost last fall these people have suffered much in the loss lose ot of their son and have received the tha deepest sympathy from the entire community |
