Saturday's game was one quite to the liking of the fans, despite the fact that several costly errors occasionally crept In on both sides. After the Garland warriors had proceeded pro-ceeded to lick their opponents' to a frazzle fraz-zle for the first six Innings, nothing would do but that they tutn around and throw it away. This is an old falling of the Garland team and it is time that tboy were waking up to the fact that no game is won until the third man in tho ninth inning has been called out by tho umpire. um-pire. But after all h said and done, tho game was a good ono. It was the kind the fans like to see, and the kind that makes them yell themselves hoarso. As was stated before, the first five or six innings was a good exhibition of base ball, with the exception of a few rank errors on tho part of the Brigham boys. In tho eighth li ning Lowe lost his grip and was touched up qulto freely by his opponents, which netted them 4 largo and Juicy runs, aided by costly errors on the part of Lowe uud Schaffcr. This put Brigham ono score to the good, and Gar-land's Gar-land's chances looked Indeed slim. Tho Brigham boys wero hugging themselves In glee, the Garland sugar lumps were bitterly bewailing sad fate which looked inevitable, when, after Schaffcr had sliced slic-ed enormous chunks of vapor and had taken to the "tall uncut" one, Feather-stonc.by Feather-stonc.by namo, with grim determination stumped upon his "physogamy" swatted the sphere out for a neat little single, followed by a similar performance by one Joe Wallls, thus advancing the feathery feath-ery tosscr to second cushion. Not being satisfied with this, the lad from Garland-North,among Garland-North,among his pals familiarly dubbed "George" lammed the sphercold out for a two bagger, scoring tho angelic one and tlclng the score. When Lowe stepped up to tho box and plunged out a safo one and scoring Glca-son, Glca-son, the Grand Stand went wild aud the game was brought to a hasty conclusion. When thegnme ended Garland had but one man down, and were certainly pais.t-Ing pais.t-Ing Stephens to tho woods. No telling what the score would have been had they continued to play until the sido was retired. The line up was as lollows: Brigham Garland Saekett C. F. Vau Lcuvan K. Jensen 2 15.
