Show Brigham Celebrates In Fitting Style. Good Parade & Program. From Early Dawn Until tho Midnight Hour, Thcro was Something Doing Do-ing in tho County Scat. The celebration at Brigham July 4th, was a good one, though hardly equaled former demonstrations. Most of tho towns throughout tho county were well reprc scntcd. A very pleasing program was carried out aud much credit Is duo tho various committees who arranged tho celebration. The printed program, distributed to all, was carried out in every detail. Washakie turned out in mass and the Indians did their part to make tho celebration cele-bration Interesting. The population of Brigham was considerably con-siderably Increased that day. All of thu abovo mcutioucd floats aud carriages were artistically dosigncd and tastefully decorated. The Military Band was enlarged for tho oecastan aud did excellent work. A duo program was given at tho Central Cent-ral School grounds after which races, cracker-eating, plo-eating, wood-sawing and other contests wcro indulged In. Willie Ottogary and four Indians of Washakie took a bund at tho pio contest, con-test, Jas Brown winning nut. Then came the Indian War Danco on tho clu vatcd platform which was a very pleasing pleas-ing affuir. Tho matched game of ball between Brigham and Huntsvllle was tho noxt attraction and tho crowd In attendance was the largest seen at the grounds this season. Tho gamo was an excellent demonstration of baso ball playing and ended iu a score of 3 to 2 in favor of Huntsvllle. Iu the evening The Tout Concert at thu Tabernacle drew a crowded house aud tho pragram rendered was very en tertaiuing. After the concert tho amusement amuse-ment halls entertained tho crowd in dancing till tho midnight hour. A tent show drew quite n crowd who failed to find scats at tho concert. |
