| Show SA SALT L T LA LAKEMAN KE MA N KILLED NEAR PANGUITCH A sad bad accident occurred about one mile north of panguitch Pan gultch last friday morning at 11 ocl cok when maurice darnett barnett a prominent business man of salt lake city was killed when ills v ife fe who was driving the car attern attempt pt ed to pass a truck and ran into a culvert and tipped the car over mr darnett barnett was pinned u underneath the car thos sevy and son albert and fred haycock who were working in mr air devys field nearby were the first to arrived arri vedat lat the scene and upon extricating tri cating mr air barnett it was fou found nd that he had met instant death ills his left side being badly crushed the grief stricken wife and two small email child children rd who miraculously escaped injury and possibly death were brought into panguitch Pan gultch where they awaited the arrival of mr air barnetts business partner mark ial E weiss of the firm barnett and weiss jewelers who arrived in panguitch Pan gultch that oven even ing and took charge of the body which accompanied by the family was taken to salt lake city the family were on a vacation trip having visited fish lake and were on their way to bryce canyon at the time odthe of the accident this is the first accident of a fatal nature happening to a tourist within our recollection in this district |
