Show Nineteenth Century Club. An interesting session wa3 held by the members of the Nineteenth Century Cen-tury club yesterday afternoon at the residence of Mrs. Rose. The club was called to order by the yice-president, Mrs. Bartow. After the minutes of the last meeting meet-ing were road and the business of the club had been disposed of, Miss Rose Moore read a well prepared paper on the "French Intervention in Mexico." Mrs. Wedgwood then reviewed the domestic do-mestic new3 of the week. A talk for the benefit of the club was given by Mrs Bartow. A recess of tea minutes was had, after which the foreign news waB given by Mies Pemberton. Miss M. h. French read part of a chapter from "Coin's Financial School." Tbe rest of the afternoon was taken up with business of the clnb. |
