Show ' Board of Education. The board of education met last evening with all members present, A commuLication from George E. The clerk reporied having hav-ing bad vouchers filled out and forwarded for-warded to the commission. The clerk's action was approved. The . refund re-fund has not yet been made. The declinations of M. I Bushman and Edith Iloldaway of positions as teachers offered . them, were received and accepted. Acceptances from a l the other teachers have been received. Requests from teachers George Poweison and Aretta Young to be changed from Mountain to Page schools and from Franklin to Tim-panages Tim-panages respectively were grantee. Miss Thatcher was instructed to teach the beginners at the Franklin school and Mary" Lewis was employed to teach at the Franklin school - at a salary of $32.50 per month. Wm. J. Silver, M. E. reported having repaired and tested to 50 lb. the boiler at the Parker schoolhouse, He recom- mended that repairs be made, to the I foundation of the building near the boiler. The committee on buildings and grounds recommended that these repairs be made. The recommendation was adopted aud the matter was subsequently sub-sequently referred to the committee for further investigation as to cost. Photographer Anderson, lowest bidder, was awarded col tract cf making photographs, photo-graphs, 16x22, framed, of the Parker, TimpanogoB and Franklin Frank-lin schoolhouses to be sent to Denver for exhibition during the sea aim of the National Educational association as-sociation there in July. The price for the pictures Will be $12 00 The treasurer's report for June showed no receipts, disbursed $54 80, uaiancu un nana sio.uo Claims were allowed: W. J. Silver, $7.50; Wm. C. Foote, wiring chairs, $6.25; J. M. Jensen, clerk, $11 25. Publication of .tha notice appearing elsewhere rleative to teachers' examination exami-nation waB authorized. The president of the board and superintendent sup-erintendent were authorized to have printed fifty teachers' certificates and the board adjourned. |
