The first business transacted yester day by the board of directors of the ter- j ritorial insane aBylum Was the consideration consid-eration of the report of the excatye committee, recommending that the following named patients be ordered removed: Thomas Orr and W. M. Harrieor. of Tooele county, Fritz Doe oi Salt Lake, Alma Rawlings and Win. E. Gould of Weber county, Elmira h erguBon ot .Beaver county, Alice Omar of Sanpete county, Lara Peterson Peter-son of Juab counts. The report waB adopted and an order equiring the removal of the patients ordered. These patients are not insane persons; they are imbeciles, idiots acd incurables. The law provides that this iaUer class of patients may be re-I re-I move 1 from the asylum by the board. Owing to tLe crowded condition of the asylum and the limited appropriation tor the asylum made by the last legislature legis-lature the preeent board has concluded to remove these or keep them at the expense of the counties from which they came. At the meeting of the board yesterday yester-day Probate Judge A. C. De'emire of Totele county waa present, a s.o Probate Pro-bate Judge G. II. Fennemorec "ver county and Selectman Pond t cache. Communications from the clerk of Salt Lake county and the probate judge of Sanpete coanty were received and read. The patient Larsen ; from Juab county, Rawlins from Cache ana Hunter from Weber haye been removed, Tne others are being held at the expense of the counties from which they cam at the rate of $4.00 each per week until removed re-moved or until further order of the board. OTHER BUSIKESS. The committee on purchase of land reported that the deal with Marinda Glazier for 19.15 acres ot land adjoining adjoin-ing asylum lands had been closed at a price of $i,750 00. The sum of $1.5U0.00 was appropriated to Mrs. G.azir on account. The usual monthly report! of the medical superintendent on salaries for May, current expense, contingent cash, cash paid to treasurer, movement of patients, etc., werepreaented, audited, found correct and placed on file. '1 he usual reports of the treasurer and secretary were also presented, audited, aud-ited, found correct and filed. Tee sum of $400 was appropriated to pay interest due. The treasurer was authorized to bor row $3,500.00. Ciaima for committee work, J. B. Milner, $12.00; Wm. Creer, $4.00; J. L.
