Show TnE Enquirer last night very kindly made mention of the fact that The DisPATCn is to become a morning paper, but inasmuch as a few errors crept in that article we desire to set our friend right. In the first place President A. O. SMOot has accepted the vice-presidency of the company. In the second place, the Democrats haye not "decided to kill The Dispatch," Dis-patch," and our friend will find before be-fore the campaign is oyer that The Dispatch is a pretty lively corpse. In the third place this paper will not be called Tht Morning Democrat, what it will be called our friend will find out when it makes its debut to the public pub-lic next Wednesday morning. In the fourth place it has not been decided to import an editor, thereby "showing no favor to home talent.' This would be too much like the policy of our friend, the Enquirer. Friend, whence comes your editor, and whither will h go? O consistency, thou art a jewel! With these few errors, the one and one-half inch article in last night's Enquirer is in the main correct. |
