Show The outlook for the Mercur mining district is still very bright although the deep snow has temporarily stopped prospecting. There is much activity all through the district and all of the opened mines are running. Just at present miners are not in demand, but there will be plenty of work in the spring. The gold belt has apparently bpen found to the northeast of the Mercur, and this has had a stimulating effect. There will have to be a great deal of development wrork before any of the new claims are put on a paying basis, but the owners have faith in their properties and will push operations. |
