Show A GOUD WOMAN GONE. Mre, Anna K. Smoot Paase to Her Long-Best Long-Best This Morning1 After Much Suffering. Suffer-ing. At 9:10 o'clock this morning there passed away to her long rest one who lias been for years one of I'royo's noblest no-blest women. At that hour Mrs. Anna K. Smoot who has been a greatsufferer for the past two years with stomach trouble died. For five montbB past the deceased has been bedfast and has suffered intensely. She has had the beat of care, and while her loss is sad and keenly felt and the good woman ia deeply mourned, the great wonder has been that she has survived and endured en-dured her suffering so long. j Mrs. Smoot is well known and beloved be-loved by all who knew her. She has been a faithi'uL worker in the cause of the goapel as- taught and understood by tbe Latter day Saints. Of late years she Ins devoted her energies en-ergies to the welfare and progress of the primary associations and at the time of her death vva3 stake president of thoee associations. Mrs. Smoot was sixty veara of age, tbe mother of seven children, all of whom were at her bedside at the time of "X death. She wae the fourth wife of President A. O. Smoot and the third to depart for the higher world. She joined the Mormon church at 'the ege eighteen in Xorway, her native land, and was driven from her home in consequence. con-sequence.
