Show BOARD OF EDUCATION. The Members Meet and Allow Sundry Claims. Flsgsto be Unfurled by the Pupils at Each of the Schoolhouses. The Board of Education met at Mayor Booth's office, last eyeniug, April 24, at 7:30 p. m., Vice-President Halliday in the chair. The teachers' salaries, amounting to SC20, were allowed and appropriated. The following claims were allowed and amounts appropriated: Sun Foundry and Machine Co., repairs, $20; Edward Fairer, services as janitor, $6; S. W. Worsely, labor, $7.70; E. A. Wilson, Wil-son, thiee months' salary as superintendent superin-tendent $125; David Kinnear, planting trees, ?2; Enterprise Band on Arbor Day, t;12; The Dispatch, publishing school notices, $2.50; M. W. Mills, labor, $12.75; E. C. Davis, water gutters gut-ters at West School, $36.80; Kershaw & Malmquist, glazing, $10.90. Superintendent Wilson stated that flags were about to be purchased by the pupils of the several schools, and asked that flag poles be erected on each school. Common consent was given to have poles so erected. The Board then adjourned for two weeks at 7:50 p. m. |
