Some have stayed home and got the yards and gardens cleaned and ready for winter. The farmers are busy bailing hay and will soon be cutting corn for feeding cattle during the winter months. The cattle and sheep will soon be on their way home from the mountain pastures for their winter homes. Enjoy everyday as the days are numbered now before we return to the cold winter months. Tanesha Ekker and Nicole Mecham have been doing well on the high school rodeo circuit. This past weekend the rodeo activity was at the Blackhawk Arena in Salina. Friday evening the Axtell Achievement Girls honored their fathers at the DaddyDaughter Date Night. The theme was western and the evening ended with western line dancing. This was a very special evening for the girls to have a “date” with Daddy. This past weekend was the wedding day for two Axtell families.
