Park City Film: ‘Les Miserables’ Park City Film will present Ladj Ly’s “Les Miserables,” rated R, from Friday, Feb. 28, to Sunday, March 1, at the Park City Library’s Jim Santy Auditorium, 1255 Park Ave. Friday and Saturday screenings will begin at 8 p.m. Sunday’s screening starts at 6 p.m. This updated 2019 adaptation of Victor Hugo’s novel, “Les Miserables,” is inspired by the 2005 riots in Paris and follows a cop from the provinces who moves to Paris to join the Anti-Crime Brigade of Montfermeil. While there, he discovers an underworld and tension between two gangs. Tickets are $8 for general admission and $7 for senior citizens. For information, visit parkcityfilm.org. Climbing Wall at the Swaner EcoCenter The Swaner EcoCenter, 1258 Center Drive, at Kimball Junction, offers climbing on Saturdays and Sundays from 1-3 p.m. The climbing wall is open to most ages. The EcoCenter will provide the climbing harness, but climbers must wear closed-toe shoes. Climbers under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult to sign a liability waiver. Monday, March 2 Free Tax Help at the Park City Library The public can get free tax help through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program by appointment through April 8 at the Park City Library. This group covers topics relevant to all people struggling with any type of disordered eating. NAMI Family-to-Family Course NAMI’s Family-to-Family course is a free, 12-session education program for family, partners, friends and significant others of adults living with mental illness. The course, taught by trained teachers who have lived the experiences, is designed to help family members understand and support their loved one living with mental illness, while maintaining their own well-being. Class dates are April 8,15, 22 and 29; May 6,13, 20 and 27; June 3, 10, 17 and 24. The class will run from 6-8:30 pm at the Park City Library, 1255 Park Ave. in room 201.
