The league runs from April 9 through May 31 and is coached by members of the Park City High School football team. It’s a 5-on-5 noncontact football passing league featuring kids from the 2nd grade to the 9th grade — eighth and ninth graders will participate in 6-on6 and 7-on-7 games, respectively. After growing up watching the annual FIS freestyle World Cup at Deer Valley as a kid, the 17-year-old moguls skier found himself atop Champion run Thursday evening with one goal in mind. “I just wanted to make the finals,” Page said. “It’s my first season on the World Cup circuit so I came in here setting that as my goal. And then to not only make the finals but then finish where I did, it felt like I was finally breaking through a bit.” Page was the top American finish- CPR/FIRST AID CERTIFICATION Parkites are welcome to come and learn First Aid, CPR & AED skills from our certified National Safety Council Instructors — this course meets national safety standards. He finished the course in a time of 24.88 seconds — adding 14.38 points through the air and 44.5 points in turns for a total of 74.07. It was the fifth World Cup start for Page, whose previous best finish was 17th, which came in mid-December in China. So taking home 10th place in front of his family and friends meant a lot to the Parkite. “I’ve been coming to this event since 2011 with my family, so to now be standing up top and knowing they’re down at the bottom watching me, it’s more than words,” Page said. “I’ve been working so hard so to finally get a top-10 finish, and at the run that I grew up on, hopefully it means good things are still coming because I can only get better from Please see Under, B-6 PARK CITY SUMMER DAY CAMP REGISTRATION Park City Recreation’s Summer Day Camp will offer early registration to those who live or work in the 84060 zip code.
