They served waffles with the choice of syrup, butter, jam or whip cream and orange juice or apple juice. Mrs. Eckhardt's class had Yummies Ice Cream. They served chocolate or vanilla ice cream with the choice of chocolate syrup and nuts or sprinkles. Each child had a job to do at the restaurant. There were host, hostess, bus boys, waiter, waitress, cooks, dishwashers, entertainment and cashiers. To prepare for the restaurants they had to make menus, wallets, placemats and signs. The classes had to learn about pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters. Then they used their money to pay for what they ordered at the restaurant. The children learned how to work together, and that doing a job is hard work, but lots of fun. Pictured above are Chaicee Hendren and Jared Nelson.
