Both of these new members are excited to be a part of the department and will begin their emergency medical technician training in September. The ambulance department is currently looking for more volunteers, and those interested and able to make a commitment are asked to call Don Thomas at 798-5077 during business hours. Burton and Nonna Nelson Obituary Lynn B. Richardson Lynn B. Richardson, age 69, passed away at home in Benjamin, Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007 surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Jan. 2, 1938 in Benjamin to the late George Weslie and Pauline Isabella Butler Richardson. In 1960 he married his eternal sweetheart, Veda Elfreda Shell of Payson. After 47 years of marriage, they have seven children, 29 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Lynn was constantly en- years. He was known to help stranded motorists, and to welcome people from all nationalities and backgrounds into his home, some for an extended period of time. He respected others and withheld judgement. He loved to spend time with his wife, children, grandchildren and brothers and sisters. He was wise, kind, full of integrity and maintained a comforting sense of humor to the end. Lynn is survived by his loving wife Verla Elfreda Shell, his seven children Kathryn Wride (Dennis Wride), Christine Thompson (Michael Thompson), Mark Richardson (Lynn Reamer), Samuel Richardson (Shelly Ludlow), Annette Murphy (Jeff Murphy), Jacqueline Mortensen (Kevin Mortcnsen) and Susan Chapman (Jared Chapman), one foster daughter, Helen Mcabe, his 29 grandchildren, live greatgrandchildren and nine of his 10 brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Isabella Bulter and father, George Weslie Richardson, and his brother Sterling Richardson. . A viewing will be held in his honor at Walker Mortuary in Spanish Fork on Friday from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 24 and funeral services will begin Saturday at 11 a.m. with a viewing one hour prior at the LDS church at 3200 West 7300 South. Barnes grew up in Orem, was an Eagle Scout and graduated from Mountain View High School in 1995. He served an LDS mission to the Philippines, attended Utah Valley State College and graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in biology. He leaves a wife and three children.
