The Piute game was really exciting. It was a real heavy weight battle, with neither team leading by more than 4 points at any one time. It was one of those games where it was a shame that someone had to loose. The girls on both team played great, and it came down to the Lady Cats shooting two free throws, with 2 seconds left on the clock and trailing by 3. Abby Barrett made the first, to cut the lead to two points, and deliberately missed the second, but the Cats couldn't get the rebound and lost 48 to 46. It was one of those games that both teams could be proud of how well they played. Friday night the Ladies went out to Milford for the last league game of the year, oh where did the season go? The Lady Cats got defensive in this game and held the Tigers to only 5 baskets. They won 43 to 16 and most of the girls got in some playing time. With each game the girls that are JOIN US By Mack Oetting taking Katie Rosser place, Abby Barrett and Chandler Campbell are improving quickly with more playing time and by State they should do just fine. The Lady Cats lost two games in league play by a total of three points and as the second place team, (Piute is first) played Escalante last night at home, The Cats play their next games tonight February 10 and the 11th. They will be in Cedar City at Canyon View High School. I don't have the times, check around town. Depending on how Region play goes the Cats will be at State on February 16th, 17th, 18th and 19. All of the games will be played at Sevier Valley Center in Richfield. All of the teams thrive on fan support so clear out your schedule and come on out and enjoy the fun. The Bobcats ventured down to Orderville, to play the region 1# team, the Valley Buffalos. The Cats played very well and led much of the game, but couldn't hold on at the end.
