Call 676-2621 BY PAT DIX GOO "™" BOBCAT BOYS LOSE TO T BIRDS With their two top guns on the bench with foul trouble, the Bobcats suffered a woeful 16 to 5 second quarter from which they never fully recovered in their 61 to 51 loss to the Piute Thunderbirds. For the other three quarters the cats battled on a par with the T Birds until late in the final stanza when they had clawed their way back to within five points of the lead. But a near steal that was lost out of bound spelled finis to the rally as Piute went on to add 5 more points. Frigid free throw shooting was also a contributing factor to the loss as the Cats could only muster 11 of 19 from the charity stripe. Despite the disappointing loss, Coach Barney we well pleased with the efforts of his troops against Region I5's top ranked T Birds, citing that they never quit and were scrapping right down to the wire. Although the specter of fouling out loomed over them, both Josh Bateman and Cameron Leach performed well with 16 and 11 respectively and ever steady Brady Barney popped in 15. NO WONDER... your music rocks, your games play, your outfit is sweet, your time isn't wasted, LADY BOBCATS FALL TO VALLEY Tuesday, December 19th, the Lady Bobcats were overrun by a stampede of Lady Buffaloes at Valley High School. Undefeated Valley jumped out to a 20 to 4 first quarter lead and never looked back on the way to the 47 to 27 victory. The young Cats played hard but were just overmatched against the more experience and talented Buffaloes. Once again the lack of a balanced scoring attack proved detrimental to putting Panguitch points on the Scoreboard. The Lady Bobcats return to Region 15 wars hosting Milford on January 3rd.
