The Rowdies are a UVSC club dedicated to cheering on UVSC athletics. The club is free to anyone who wants to support UVSC at any of the sporting events, and usually includes various foods and prizes. Rowdies usually sit with the Bleacher Creatures in the student cheering section at each game. Robins originally joined Rowdies because he was interested in athletics at UVSC. but didn't have the time or talent to participate on any teams. "I really like sports, but I'm just not good at them," Robins said Robins loves to be adventurous and participate in anything outdoors. He is currently working toward a major in Outdoor Recreational Management. Robins encourages students to join Rowdies in order to take a break. "You can't study all the time," Robins said. "Rowdies takes you out of the everyday school experience; there is more to college than just going to class." If you are interested in joining Rowdies, or want to know if it's for you, go check it out yourself at any of UVSC's sponsored sporting events, There is no time limit as to when students need to sign up. More freshmen have signed up for the club in order to experience more on campus. It's a great way to meet new people and get involved with UVSC's athletic programs. "Just come and give it a chance, enjoy yourself," Robins said. For additional information about Rowdies please contact the Student Alumni Association at 863-7159.
