Show DAILY UTAH CHRONICLE a 8 Wednesd y, March 5, 2014 BASKETBALL BASEBALL Continued from page 5 Continued from page 5 on the road, but we need to end those four and six point swings when the momentum changes in the road arenas," Krystkowiak said. "The court is still 94 feet, and the basket is still io feet high. We just need to play smart and tough." The Bears are led by guard Justin Cobbs. The senior is averaging 15.8 points and approximately 5.8 assists per game. Cobbs has been held to single digits only once in the conference season and has eclipsed the 20-point mark five times in Pac-12 play. Despite the fact that Utah is knocking on the door of the NCAA Tournament, Krystkowiak stressed the importance of not worrying about that possibility. "We can't think about all the hypotheticals and what everyone else is spending their time talking about," he said. "It's us getting ready to go in and competing against two really good basketball teams on their senior weekend. We're going to have our hands full." That being said, Krystkowiak knows the importance of his team's final two regular season games in terms of the impact they will likely have on the Utes' postseason life. "It's real important," he said. "I think that this is the time of the year where RPI and BPI and all the numbers come into play, but we need to go to Berkeley and be ready to compete." Cal and Utah will tip off at 9 p.m. MST. The game can be seen on ESPNU. tallied just six hits, three of which came in the final inning with the contest long decided. Utah's three hits early in the contest came from TJ Bennett, Wyler Smith and Max Schuman, but the Utes couldn't manufacture any runs from them. "We just have to trust each other," Schuman said. "We just have to stay with what we are doing, and it'll all turn around." r.miller@chronicle.utah.edu After BYU tacked on two more runs to make the score 20-0, Utah finally got on the board in the final frame to avoid the shutout. The Utes will have to rebound quickly, as they will begin preparation for this weekend's UTA Invitational in Texas. They will play UT Arlington twice, Abilene Christian and Missouri State. "At the end of the day, this loss is gone tomorrow," Schuman said. "It's in the past. It's what's at the end of the year, it's not what's right now." i.smith@chronicle.utah.edu Is YOUR WRITING AS UP TO PAR AS YOUR GAME .0, or e in ormatio • lact r.mcdonald@chronide.utah.edu 11 11111111 --- a ERIN BURNS/The Daily Utah Chronicle Delon Wright drives to the basket against Arizona State on Feb. 23 at the Huntsman Center.
