Show LETTER TO tintic gintic people who for or months have been patiently awaiting the comple tion of the new piece ot of wagon road which will give the traveling public a detour around the narrow and dan berous Ho mansville canyon cannot help but feel that there Is something radically wrong when a county or a state gets so little real work tor for money expended in road improve ments the piece ot of road in ques tion is doubtless only one instance out of any where the taxpayers money ls Is chucked off in a careless fashion and where a job which should be finished in a few weeks is made to last the greater part of 0 the summer in order that a bunch of 0 men who are not enterprising enough tor for more active work may find em ein that is in keeping with their ambitions no matter how in competent or feeble a man is he is entitled to some consideration it if we know that he is doing his best but when a man or a bunch ot of men ac cents state or county employment and deliberately loafs on the job be cause he is working tor for the state or county and that particular job is lacking in supervision he is doing every taxpayer an injustice the new wagon road mentioned above will doubtless cost two and perhaps three times what it would have cost had the work been proper ly handled and then utah county s commissioners will howl because it Is costing them so much money to keep the highway into this section in fit condition for travel this Is in keeping with their past policy another matter which we would like to call attention to at this time is the tact fact that the road men em plowed on this job are camped a mile or so from their work and that tour four times each day they are forced to pass over a small stretch of road that since the recent flood Is about as as anything in the state and yet it if their work required them to make a thousand trips over this road we 11 wager they will never re move a loose rock or till fill a dangerous hole |
