An International Tea i .";;vn IN $ :$' Members of the Salt Lake Council of Women attended a tea Monday afternoon and the event was held in 17 W-t- .; ' V: ; j , - countries! The countries are all here in Sat Lake City, nestled in the International Peace Gardens at Jordan Park. The Gardens were founded by the Council of Women in r 1939 to promote ; ir. r:v"A U Af V ',r; 'L Al E Wo;-- sfi - t ,- - !'. s' V'&Csi) . brotherhood and give foreign origin groups a specific part in the citys beautification. Chairman of the annual tea was Kirs. John T. Seaich. Hostesses for the afternoon festivities were Mrs. Ralph E. Reese, Mrs. Orin L. Lund, Mrs. J. W. McEwan, Mrs. Evan R. Terry, Mrs. Victor and viewed replicas of such international landmarks as the Matterhorn, the Viking Burial Mounds, the Linden Tree, and the Cedars of Lebanon. Tea tables were appropriately placed under the pagoda In the Chinese Garden. Pouring at the tables were past presidents of the council: Sirs. Burton M. Todd, Mrs. S. I. Greer, Mrs. William H.
