Fillis said today. Extensive vandalism to at least 30 cars was reported to police Sunday night and Monday morning, and at least three cars were burned early today. Of the three cars burned this morning, a 1969 automobile owned by Ver Don C. Brink-- , erhoff, 917 Park Row St., was completely destroyed shortly before 4 a.m. A smudge pot was found in the car, parked in front of the Brinkerhoff residence. Police and fire fighters say that in most instances oil smudge pots from street call received at 3:05 a.m., when a 1954 auto owned by Cornelius DeJong, 1507 Cheyenne St., was burned at 165 Social Hall Ave. An oil burning smudge pot was also thrown into this vehicle, and the interior destroyed.
