Lola Jensen was hostess to her dinner club on Tuesday evening. Dinner was served to 10 ladies and after a game of progressive Rummy was played with prizes being won by Susan Munk, Janet Hatch, and Sue SL Pierre. Regional Track meet was held Saturday at the New North Sevier Track complex. Congratulations to the girls for taking first in Region and to the boys who took second. State Track will beheld at BYU this Saturday. Diane Jensen and two daughters spent Mothers day with her mother Luella Jorgersen. John and Roxanne Johnson were in Salt Lake City over the weekend. Margie and Darrell Despain were happy to have some of their children and families spend Mothers Day with them. Sherry and Raylon Taylor and family came from Richfield along with Kent Mary Despain and Valerie and Ron Vincent and families of Centerfield. Margie and Howard Jensen enjoyed dining out for Mothers day and then visited with Myrtle Jensen at the Gunnison Valley Hospital. Keith and Leah Bird took her parents Ivan and Edith Sorenson out for dinner at Shaheens in Salina for Mothers Day. Nancy Sue Boore was home from Salt Lake to spend the weekend with her mom, Audrey Boore and visit with Sandra and Joey Heath and boys and Danny and Nancy Lee Boore and Stephanie. They also celebrated Stephanies first birthday which was Sunday. Happy Birthday wishes Sunday were also in order for Aussie Bertelson who spent the day with m grandmother Essie and days in San Diego and Tiajuana with her mother Roien White and sisters Lois Jean Ogden of Provo and Judy Drew of Phoenix. They went to Sea World, San Diego Zoo, and many other points of interest, while at Sea World JoAnn saw President Bruce and Arlene Bartholomew of May-fielWhat a small world. JoAnn had a wonderful vacation. Many Mothers in Mayfield had visitors for Mothers Day Sunday. Orpha Whitlock had daughters Wilma Coates of Milford and Sheryl Voohees of Pleasant Grove came to Mayfield and to church with her. All the children of Max and JoAnn Lambcrtson were home on Sunday for Mothers day. Eric and Penny Larson and Zoe were down from Layton. Laura and Richard Martin and daughter were home from Provo, along with Lillie Lambcrtson who is going to school in Provo. The David Lambcrtson and Phil Lambertson families of May-fiel- d also joined the family group. This week Laurie Goble of Gunnison will marry Mike Packing-haof Mayfield. Mike and Laurie will make their home in Mayfield. They will live in the Clem and Lonnie King home or the former Hans Bogh House, Laurie is the daughter Lake. Other guests in attendance of Boyd and Margaret Goble. were the Gene and Anita Yardley Devon and Zora Peterson and family, the Bruce and Arlene son Mark and two grandsons came to Bartholomew family and the Doug visit Wanda Peterson for Mothers and Mary Ann Bjerregaard family all Day. Tammy Frandsen sang dies in Gunnison Lorena Fern Mellor Hone, 55, Loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away on May 4, 1988 in the Gunnison Valley Hospital. She was bom in Fayette, Utah on June 22, 1932 to Guy and Fern Ema Larsen Mellor. She was married to Verden Calden Hone on December 13, 1950 in Fayette, Utah. She held many positions in the LDS Church. She was well known for her special talents such as sewing aprons, night-- gowns, and pajamas. She owned and operated Utahs Best Aprons Business. She was loved and respected by all her family and friends. Her understanding and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was also a Special Grandmother. She was survived by her husband, Centerfield; 4 daughters and one son; Mrs. Kim (Karlene) Rasmussen of West Valley, Utah; Mrs. 3 Michael (Leila) Newby of Monroe; Mrs. Craig (Deborah) Lund; Mrs. Rick (Barbara) Mickelsen, both of Redmond, and Mr. Bruce Verden Hone, Fairview, Utah; 22 grandchildren, Kristine, Steven, Brandon, Brent, Dusten, Lashclle, Randi, Theresa, Trenton, Tanelle, Stephanie, Jason, Shawn, Brady, Crystal, Andy, Brendon, Alissa, Clint, Luke, Stacy, and Shane; mother of Fayette, 2 brothers, Melvin Mellor of Fayette and Carl Mellor of Lehi, 2 sisters, Mrs. Lynn (Fae) Mellor of West Valley City and Mrs. Pearl Middle-to- n of S alt Lake City , Mother-in-laMaude Hone, Gunnison. Funeral Services were held in Centerfield 1st Ward on Saturday, may 7, 1988 at 11:00 p.m. with Bishop Lyman Holyoak conducting with burial in the Centerfield Cemetery directed by the Warren R. Two antidotes were written and given by Suzie Walser and Ruth P. Christiansen. Michelle Nielson sang and played on her guitar a piece of music she had written mary Lois Madsen had the Mayfield double sing one of her songs. JoAnn Otten read a story she had written, those in charge of this program were Linda Miller, Mary Louise Sorensen, Erma Barbara Faatz, and Michele Nielson. Those preparing the luncheon were Susan Anderson, BEverly YOung, Denise Sorenson, and Suzzette Wilden. The Home Management lesson was given by Catherine Bartholomew. A lovely night was shared by everyone attending. Mothers Day dinner was enjoyed by the Tom and Loa Yardley family at the home of Doug and Mary Ann Bjerregaard. There were 24 for dinner. Calleen and the girls enjoyed attending the Miss Gunnison Pageant with LaPreal on Saturday evening. On Sunday they all enjoyed Mothers Day Dinner with Ron and Gayle Ball and family in Gunnison.
