An open house in their honor will be held that evening in the Axtell Ward Cultural Hall in Axtell. Trudy is the daughter of Den- nis and Kathy Patterson, she is a graduate of Bingham high School. Trudy is the mother of two children, g daughter Alicia and a son Jacob. Kevin (Mickey) Despain is the son of Marius and Kaye Despain. He is a graduate of the Gunnison Valley High school. Sandi Reynolds receives award for excellence recently received a Certificate and cardigan sweater with a letter S, during a Convocation held at Snow College. According to Dean Alvin Green, This is a prestigious award given for Academic Excellence and also involvement in school affairs. An award will be given after each quarter, and Sandi was the first to receive the award. Dean Green stated, "We are very proud of Sandi for the fine, outstanding girl she is, and the example she sets for other students. Sandi is tied with another student for Valedictorian Honors at Snow. This past year S andi was on the LDS Institute Council, and also is a member of the Badgerettes Marching Group. She is also active in Intramural Sports. With a major in Nursing, Sandi has had to take many difficult classes. She will graduate from Snow in June, and will continue her studies at B YU this summer. All 4th and 5th graders in the District will participate. They will be taught the dances by Mary Whitt of Ephraim who will travel to each school to teach the dances. The students schedule for that will include a practice at 12:30 day p.m. and then they will stay for the Centennial Celebration at the Football Stadium for parents. Around 200 students from Gunnison will participate.
