their first "jam" session March 11 at the Richfield LDS Youth Center 200 West 100 South Richfield from 7 to 9 pm A "jam" session consists of anyone who enjoys good mountain music Fersons who play guitar pick the banjo saw the fiddle puk the mandolin or bass are welcome to lake part "Jam" sessions are an informal meeting of anyone who wants to play learn new music and meet others who also enjoy making music These sessions are held monthly throughout the state of Utah in places like the Pahs ant Chapter in Delta the Pioneer Chapter in Weber County the Utah Valley Chapter in ProvoOrem and the Salt Lake Chapter Many of these areas hac been together in organized chapters since 1979 and have held "jams" regularly since that time The National Old Time Fiddlers also come through Utah during the summer for contests Many of these fiddle and guitar pickers have played with professional bands in Nashs illc Texas Arizona New State Taking Orders For Trees Shrubs Lone Peak State Nursery is tak- ing
