Show ofasof Clubs O Socialise O People and Debbie Stott and Patrick Glazier to Wed Nov. 5 Vicki Willardsen Sets Wedding Date of Dec. 10 Mr. and Mrs. Chris Willard-sen- , Ephraim, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Vicki, to Alan K. Gurney, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Gurney, of Aurora. Vicki is a 1977 graduate of Manti High School and the LDS Seminary. Alan is a graduate of North Sevier High School, Salma, and has attended Snow College. They will be married Dec. 10 and will be honored at a reception that evening. Mr. and Mrs. L. Donald Stott, Manti, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, M. Glazier, a Debbie, son of Dr. and Mrs. McCleery Glazier, Grand Island, Neb. The couple will exchange marriage vows Nov. 5, 1977. The brides parents will honor the couple at a dinner following the rites and at a wedding reception that night at Reception Center. Debbie is a 1971 graduate of Manti High School and Manti LDS Seminary. She received Places Wilford Frischknecht her B A. degree from Weber State College and a Master of Public Administration degree from Brigham Young Univer- Funeral services for Wilford George Frischknecht, 83, Manti, former educator, mayor, prominent political, civic and church figure, who died in an Ogden nursing home of causes incident to age on Oct. 25, 1977, were held Saturday afternoon in the Manti Center-NortWard chapel. Interment followed in the Manti City Cemetery. Mr. Frischknecht was a Manti High School and University of Utah graduate. He was a member of the Manti High School faculty for 20 years. He served as state director of sity. Patrick graduated from HolSchool, Los lywood High received a and Angeles, Calif., B S. degree from the University of New Mexico. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot in the Military Airlift Command and is currently employed as a flight engineer for Western Airlines. The couple will make their home in Minneapolis, Mmn. h IV dLr' Messenger, Page 7 state politics, serving two terms on the Manti city council and three terms, from 1932 to 36, as Mantts mayor. He was Sanpete County Democratic party chairman and the keynote speaker at the 1940 Utah Democratic the National Youth Administra1937-4tion from and as regional director, serving nine western states, from 1940-4During his service with the NYA he was several times a guest of Pres, and Mrs. 0 2 Franklin D Roosevelt At the beginning of World War II he supervised housing of service personnel. He was involved in vocational training for the shipbuilding and aircraft convention. He had been a farmer and livestock operator, owned and managed San Toy Co , was a sales representative for American School Supply Co., and was a field representative for the U.S Chamber of Commerce in Utah and other western states, retiring at the age of 79. An active member of the LDS Church, Mr. Frischknecht had served a mission in California, been a Sunday School superintendent, taught in priesthood and in church auxiliaries, sang in the choir and served as senior president of the Manti North Ward Seventies Quorum. He had been president of the Manti Commercial Club, a member of the Manti Lions Club, a member of the Sanpete Countv fairboard and an announcer for the fair for many years. Mr. Frischknecht was born in Manti Oct. 30, 1893, to Conrad and Anna Elizabeth Ruesch Frischknecht. He married Elda M. Christensen in the Manti industries in connection with the war effort. He later served as Utah officer and then executive director for the Office of Price Stabilization. She died Oct. 1, 1971. He is survived by five sons and one daughter: Neil C. Frischknecht, Provo; W. Dean Frischknecht, Corvallis, Ore.; Kay Frischknecht, Manti; Don Frischknecht, Salt Lake City; Clair Frischknecht and Mrs. Harry (Audrey) Bonnell, both Ogden; 37 grandchildren; 46 one brother and two sisters, Conrad Frischknecht and Mrs. Ruth F. Donus, Salt Lake City, and Elizabeth Mrs. Peterson, Spring City. An open house will be held that evening from 7 00 to 9 00 in the Spring City LDS cultural hall All friends and relatives are invited to attend the open house.
