He is the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul (Connie) Cox and was born Jan. 1 2th He was named Dallas. He has one sister, Natalie. This makes four grandchildren for the Coxes. Mrs. Dortha Braithwaite and family were in Koosharem last Sunday, March 9th to help celebrate her mothers ( Irene Christensen ) 74th birthday. Twenty-fiv- e family members were present The most recent report on the condition of Lucille Munk who has been hospitalized in the Gunnison Valley Hospit.il since her accident, is that she expects to be there for three more weeks. They have been staying at the home of their daughter, Mrs. David (Betty) Christensen helping to care for their daughter, Kmma Lou Keller who is staying with the Christensens. Kmma Lou is receiving physical therapy and medical treatment each day. All women of the Center Ward Relief Society are invited to attend the annual birthday party next Tuesday at 10 a.m. or Wednesday at 7 p.m. Ms. Grace Johnson will present her play Brigham Young and special musical numbers have been arranged. Luncheon will be . her spirits are great. Orlean Thurston has been released from the Veterans Hospital and is recuperating at the home of her son, Dick Thurston, in Provo. Mrs. Karen Burrows of Panquitch has spent the past ten days visiting at the home of Lee NieLsen. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jensen and Mrs. Naomi Davis drove to Salt Lake last Sunday to visit their brother, Albert Jensen, who is very ill at the LDS Hospital. He is improving very slowly. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bown and son, Bobby, recently moved back to Manti from served. Dick and Kathryn Hamilton, from Myton were weekend visitors at the home of Ken and Helene Larson. They came to help Larry celebrate his birth- Arriving Saturday and returning to their own home on Sunday, were Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. (Darlene) Pratt and six children (four boys and twin five months old) girls, from Kearns. They were guests of Darlenes parents Mr. and Mrs. Loomis Frand-sen. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin (Phyllis) Johnson from Salt Lake visited her mother, Mrs. Erma Olsen Saturday, March 1 and Sunday, March 2. Erma returned to Salt Lake with the Johnsons on Sunday and spent most of the week visiting with them and also with her son Glen Olsen and family in Ogden. Glen brought his mother back to Manti on Thursday. Saturday visitors at the Alvin Beal home were LoDels brother, Bishop and Mrs. Nolan Squire and family of Sandy, and her father, Ivan Squire of Clarion. Mrs. Parrel Funk had her 80th birthday last Wednesday March 5. Her daughter entertained at an Open House for her mother. Max Call drove Mrs. Gladys Henigan to Salt Lake City last Friday to keep an appointment with an ophthalmologist. Mrs. Wilford Wintch was honored on her 89th birthday, March 5. Her daughter, Vera, prepared a birthday dinner for her mother and guests. Those present were: Mrs. Alton Christensen, Richfield; Mrs. Helen Tripp, Bountiful; Mr. and Mrs. Stanford Madsen, Manti; Mrs. Jessie Jensen, Mrs. Orpha Carlson, Mrs. Lonnie Wintch, Mrs. Barbara Wintch and her children, Manti. There were 13 present at the occasion. Mrs. Carol Lastowsky and her two children from Provo visited her folks, the Vernon Schmidts over the weekend. On March 1, while visiting in Provo with Carol and children, Vernon accompanied his granddaughter, Annie, to a father-daughtparty given by the Merrie Miss class March 2, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Higham drove to Salt Lake to attend sacrament meeting in the ward where their son David and family attend. During the services, David blessed and named his baby son, Jeffrey David. Also present were the Robert Hardcastles of Sandy, the babys other grandparents. After the meeting David and Roseann served a dinner to the guests. Mrs. Thelma Whitlock, from Salt Lake City, er Jeff Cutrer of Salt Lake brought her back to Manti. On Saturday, March 1 the Cutrers took Lenore and Fonda Cutrers mother, Louell Sorenson to Koosharem where they visited for Homecoming Day (or Old Folks Day). The day was extra special because two young cameramen from BYU were taking pictures to show on TV and Lenore and Louell were among those who were photographed. They report that she is much of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Rasmussen of Bountiful and will be named Tawnie. She has a sister and brother to welcome her at home. They also visited with cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Randy Olsen and a Miss Beverly Hanson left for Virginia on October 2 to stay and care for her sisters children while the parents took a tour of Russia.
