The girl who is selected Miss Manti could be the next Miss America. Now is the time for any young Manti girl who qualifies, to enter the pageant. Local civic and social organizations in the community are sponsoring the candidates. John Plummer Wins First Place In Public Speaking Contest First place public speaking honors in the regional FFA contest went to John Plummer of the Manti Chapter. This annual event is sponsored by the Snow College Lazy S Club and Agriculture Department. Trophies are donated by the Production Credit Association. Proficiency awards from the Manti chapter included Clifford Sorensen in swine and Kelly Nielson in forest management.
