Officer Succumbs at 77 Contract Questions about Salt Lake City's continued use of the county computer system drew answers Monday, as officials met to discuss new plans and past problems. The contract, which expires Dec. 28, should be renewed, according to Salt Lake County Data Processing Director Dale S. Perry. "The larger centralized spanned Salt Lake City hospital. But, under a new contract, that figure would1 be between $3.23 and $6.65, depending on when the job is run. Answering charges that the city has had the computer at bad times, such as between midnight and 8 a.m., Mr. Perry displayed a chart showing that jobs so done during that period amounted to only 7.4 percent of the total, while the computer hours were 15 percent of those used by the city, Court Holds Road Case The decision on whether a new access road must be built for a Sandy apartment complex, and if so who will construct it, was continued Monday until Sept. 13 by 3rd District Court Judge Stewart hanson. The conflict arose when residents along Harrison and Prir.ceton streets, objected to the marked increase in traffic since 88 families moved into the apartments, located on those streets. City Council that another access must be constructed, however, Golden Muir, owner of the apartment complex, contends that he shouldnt have to pay for the new road. It used about 88,000 acre-fee- t of water last year, or approximately 250 gallons of water a day per person. Part of the plants include the massive settling ponds where polymers are added to the water in minute quantities to make suspended particles fall to the bottom. Technology is important, Mr. Hooton said, pointing out that in the past year the city switched from using alum settle particles to the polymers. The result, he explained, is elimination of the same amount of particles Il is believed Langstaff had been dead 10 to 12 hours Suit Contents 'Security' Order Gives 2 Doctors Okay at VA Hospital Ten years ago, we only used 195 gallons a day per he said. River Yields Body in Box Elder Special to The Tribune Box BRIGHAM CITY Elder County Sheriff Warren W. Hyde said the body of a man was found on a sand bar in the Bear River Monday shortly after 6 p.m. The area is about one mile north of the Tremonton Crossroads where U.S. Highways 30 and 191 - intersect. Sheriff Hyde said there was no identification on the body, which apparently, had been in the water for some time. Sheriffs deputies were at the scene late Monday bringing the body to shore and the sheriff said an autopsy would be performed. The Bear River at this time of the year is at its lowest depth because of the demand for irrigation water. Sheriff Hyde said he has received no reports of missing persons in the county, but suggested it could be the body of a migrant worker.
