Milestone reached BY MITCH SHAW Standard-Examiner Davis Bureau Roundtable planned to counter drugs The Hill Air Force Base mission suppport group invites interested professional organizations to a Counter-Drug Cornmunity Roundtable on March 25. The purpose of the roundtable is to partner with law enforcement, health and treatment centers, faith-based and community-based organizations and academic researchers in order to better deal with substance abuse in the greater community. The event will be held at Club Hill from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Seating is limited. Those professional organizations wishing to attend must RSVP by March 21. LLOYD/U.S. Air Force A Boeing 737 jet airliner leaves a contrail during a ceremony at the newly renamed Mazer Memorial Chapel, formerly the Hill Historic Chapel, March 11. The ceremony and renaming was in tribute to Col. Nathan Mazer, who was instrumental in saving the structure and having it restored to its current status and use. He died in 2006. For more on the renaming see page 3. Hill Top 3 will be having a cornbined meeting with the Hill 5/6 and the Junior Enlisted Council (JEC) Friday, March 18 at 3 p.m. at Club Hill. Guest speaker will be Col. Patrick Higby, 75th Air Base Wing commander. All Top 3, Hill 5/6, and JEC members are encouraged to attend. Loveless: 'Magic in finding your personal strength' E-SAT training for relocation sponsors BY RYAN LARSEN Airman and Family Readiness Center relocation assistance services are responsible for providing sponsor training and sponsorship materials for the assigned sponsor. Effective April 1, the use of web-based Electronic Sponsorship Application Training (e-SAT), provided by Military Horne Front, will be mandatory. To assist with this transition, the A&FRC will be hosting e-SAT training opportunities during the month of March. Training sessions will be held at the Base Theater on Thursday, March 17 at 3 p.m., March 24 at 10 a.m., and March 31 at 10 a.m. Weekly trainings will be held at the A&FRC thereafter, with dates and times advertised at a later date. A&FRC Community Readiness Consultants are also available to provide e-SAT training to organizations at their request. To access the e-SAT Web site, please go to http://apps.mhf.dod. mil/esat. Base Theater Free Movies Closed due to Operational Readiness Inspection hile one era ended, another officially began on the afternoon of March 9 at Hill Air Force Base. Base and Boyer Hill Military Housing officials demolished the last of two remaining vintage 1960s homes at 3210 Liberty St. in the base's Capehart housing area. Immediately after the demolition, an open house featuring the newest generation of on-base homes was held.
