Col. Walter "Buck" Sams, 419th FW commander, swore in the 35 new reservists in front of an audience of family and friends. Similar mass enlistment events are being held across the Air Force Reserve to kick off the fiscal year 2010 recruiting season. The mass enlistments are held annually. "Once a month or so, I'll do a couple of enlistments, but only once a year, do we have a group this size," said Sams. "They are the life line of the Reserve," he said, speaking to the audience.
