AH base employees and residents are asked to clean their respective areas of responsibility in accordance with section 3.4 of the facility manager's handbook, which defines each organizational area of responsibility. Facility managers are responsible for 75 feet in and around their buildings. Please pay particular attention to items stored outside your buildings such as pallets and furniture; these need to be disposed of or turned in as appropriate. All common areas of the base, outside the 75foot perimeter, will be the responsibility of the base grounds contractor. IG office moved to Building 180 The Hill Air Force Base Inspector General office moved to Building 180 (southeast entrance) this week. For further information or questions during the transition period leave a message at 777-5305. Power outage for electrical work There will be a power outage to reroute an overhead electrical line, weather permitting, Jan. 24 and 25, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., ten hours each day, affecting the traffic lights on 6th Street and South Gate Drive, and the Building 503 Guard Shack and Security Gate. Also to be affected are the following buildings: Building 366, 503, 501, 505 and the new building north of 503 (Hydraulics Flight Control). If for any reason the outage is delayed due to cold weather, the following two weekends will be considered as back-up dates: Jan. 31 and. Feb. 1 or Feb. 7 and 8. If the outage is rescheduled and there is a reason it should not occur on either weekend, contact the following, 75th Civl Engineer Squadron Customer Service, Alan Collins, Woodward Shelton and Helene Price by e-mail no later than noon on the Tuesday 10 days prior to that particular weekend, with the reason why it cannot take place. At least that's the word here at Hill Air Force Base. Tfeam Hill and Salt Lake City learned in December that the base was chosen to host an Air Force Week in 2009. Now the base, along with its community supporters, is hard at work preparing for Air Force Week Salt Lake City June 1-7, which is something base officials are promising activities targeted for people of all ages.
