BREAKFAST From page 1 a boxed breakfast meal to-go for meal cardholders, provided by the Hillcrest Dining Facility, between the hours of 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. "We have about 550 meal cardholders and about 100 of them eat breakfast regularly," said Michael McCoy, Hill AFB Food Service officer. Roger Braner, 75th Force Support Squadron fitness director, provided a possible explanation for those numbers. "The whole concept is 'Let's provide the breakfast to where the Airmen are.* In accordance with the Fit to Fight initiative, they are at the Warrior Fitness Center. The bulk of the units do their mandatory physical training there between 6:30 and 7 o'clock in the mornings," he said. Braner says that not many Air Force bases are initiating this kind of program and Hill AFB is one of the first Air Force Materiel Command bases to begin this fitness and wellness program. Although the program is new, McCoy believes that both the fitness and dining facilities are flexible enough to adjust to actual demands once the program starts. "We don't have specific numbers yet, but we will start out with 30 to 40 meals and we will adjust the number of meals to meet the actual need," he said.
