Airmen from Hill volunteered their services to Mountain View Elementary School in Ogden to improve the playground area at the school. The volunteers came from numerous different organizations at the base and teamed up with the students of Mountain View to clean up trash, plant flowers, transport tons of sand and paint garbage cans for Ogden City Parks. The volunteers also headed a few blocks up the street to clean up Lome Farr Park. "The first sergeants got together as a group and decided to come out here along with the other volunteers from the base and help the local community and help the kids out," said Chief Master Sgt. Sandy Miller, 388th Equipment Maintenance Squadron. "As part of the Air Force, we are a tenant here in the community and part of our responsibility in wearing the uniform is to help out the communities where we are located." Allisha Larsen, an Americore tutor coordinator at Mountain View who helped organize the service project, said the job couldn't have been completed without the volunteers from Hill. "We sent out an e-mail to the base, letting them know of this project, and we just got a great turnout," Ms. Larsen said. "We've Independent - Fundamental 2941 W. 800 N.
