AMBER BALKEN 75th" Air Base Wing Public Affairs Once again the members of the 75th Air Base Wing pulled together Saturday to organize a very successful fund-raising swap meet - this time the beneficiaries will be families of Hill people affected by Hurricanes Katrinaand Rita. Levl Contreras, Jacob Gonzales Jr. and Frank Contreras take a break from shopping to enjoy a video game at Saturday's swap meet. At the-end of the day Saturday, approximately 1,700 people attended the swap meet and more than $5,400 was raised. Randy Thomas and Senior Airmen Jacob Gonzales and Marilyn Strobee were the organizers of the weekend event that they began planning about a month ago. "We just wanted to get an organization started to help out victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita," Airman Strobbe said. Because a base swap meet for victims of the late December Tsunami raised nearly $2,000 and also gave Hill people a way to donate to the relief effort, the threesome decided another swap Buddhist Church of Ogden BAZAAR Saturday, Oct 15th Shrimp or Chicken Combo Dinners • Chow Mein • Noodles • Sushi Also...
