JENNY.CHONG Hilltop Times staff The Hill AFB Spirit Award Committee is soliciting designs for the 2006 Spirit Award pin. The pin will be approximately one inch in size and can be one or more colors. Submissions should include a full size image of the design as well as a smaller version to give the committee a realistic view of the actual pin size. Submissions must be original art work and cannot infringe on any copyright laws. "It's important to get the pin submission from anyone who thinks they know what the Hill feeling is all about," said Pam Coffey. Each year, Team Hill members are asked to design a pin that embodies the spirit of Hill AFB. The designs are then voted on by Hill awards monitors. Contestants will be notified and invited to an awards ceremony where the pin design contest winner is announced. The Spirit Award is a peer-nominated award. All Hill employees are eligible for the award, and nominations can come from anyone - not just supervisors. The award is for those who have displayed outstanding work ethic and who contribute to the mission by going the extra mile. Award winners receive a certificate and the Spirit Award lapel pin. They also receive a special jacket that symbolizes their achievement. For more information about the pin design contest, contact Pam Coffey at 586-5696 or Pam.Coffey@hill.af.mil. For more information on the Spirit Award, contact your wing award monitors or see Hill AFB Instruction 362803.
