Mr. Emory, a member of the base Inspector General office and chief of the Exercise Evaluation Team, still makes working out a priority in his life. A fan of the Hess Fitness Center, Mr. Emory is at the gym between 4 and 4:30 pm every day. If he isn't seen on the racquetball court, he can be found lifting weights or in the bubble on the treadmill or stair stepper. "We have a group of four or five people who play racquetball," Mr. Emory said. "The key for me is that there are people that are depending on me to show up at the gym. Regardless of the social pressures, anyone who knows Mr. Emory can attest to his addiction to racquetball. He doesn't hide that obsession himself.
