After starting from the city and county building at 8 g m all of the children were meriy and sang at the top of their voices When we had traveled a great distance the gas tank on one of the buses got clogged up It was soon fixed and all were on their way again We went down by way of Provo canyon All along the side of the road the Provo river followed winding in and out The river was exceptionally high and the water roared past us Fishermen were everywhere trying their luck at patching fish One man had four large fish How proud he must have been! Of all the sights we' saw the mountains were the most interesting All along the sides of1 the mountains several hundred vfeet from the ground were smoothly running waterfalls In some places we could see snow When we came out of the canyon small herds of cattle were grazing all along the road The driver had to Honk at them One would go this way afid another that until the driver didn't know which way to go What an exciting time we had!
