Show bridge destroyed by fire rire about thre hundred people pas senders upon the P G W ry BY s evenin evening gArain rain into tintic gintic were hun hung 1 up all last ast monday night at goshch because of the burning of one of the small bridges at the mouth of abe canyon just this side of the goshen slant I 1 the he fire started ah sh artly after the freight train had passed over the bri ige and the blaze no doubt resulted from sparks falling in the dry grass the section crew at goshen discovered the fire and had the train stopped at goshen I 1 he bridge is on about 60 50 feet in length but it was sev eral hours before the wrecking ere crew w could be brought up from Spring springville ville and a temporary track constructed it was just nine 0 clock the following morning when the train pulled into eureka and many of the p people ople had been upon the train since the time that the train left salt lake the pre afternoon it was a good natured crowd croad how ever and everyone tried to mase a the best of the situation some of the passengers went to goshen and secured beds but the peo pie of that town could only take tale caie tale of a very small percentage of them others telephoned to eureka tor for rigs and those who remained in the train secured food from the goshen stores there m was as the usual amount of milk upon the train and some of it wag V as turned over to the passengers |
